Equity + Ethics in Data: LA Tech4Good x SFTech4Good

Our next series with San Francisco Tech4Good starts May 13 and applications are open through May 7. Read more and apply now.

We’re super excited to be partnering with SFTech4Good to expand this workshop series to include Bay Area data practitioners. Joining us are guest speakers Tina M. Park, Partnership on AI; Genevieve Smith, Berkeley Haas Center for Equity, Gender, and Leadership; and Sarah Newman, metaLAB at Harvard, Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society.

In these workshops, we convene groups of data practitioners to collaboratively learn about and work toward solutions to issues of equity and ethics in data analytics, data science, machine learning, algorithms, artificial intelligence, and technology tools. Participants apply learnings from this solution-oriented workshop to their specific projects, and together we foster a more equitable tech and data ecosystem.

Sessions run three consecutive Thursdays: May 13, 20, and 27 from 7:00-8:30pm Pacific Time.
