Are you looking to make a difference in 2025?
Data Reframed is recruiting two new Steering Committee members! We’re seeking passionate and motivated individuals who are willing to commit their time and experience and can roll with iteration and growth.
Our Steering Committee is a small working board of volunteers that leads our organizational strategy and implements data equity programming. Members are not paid (yet) and dedicate their time and expertise to support the organization and its work. This is a “working board” and each member is responsible for hands-on, practical aspects of our work.
These individuals will play a key role in several 2025 objectives:
increased visibility of Data Reframed
securing grants with major funders in the responsible data ecosystem
expanding further into university and healthcare spaces
Other strategic initiatives for the coming year include: building out stronger partnerships, developing educational resources, offering certification for participants in our trainings, and continuing to offer our “Leading Equitable Data Practices” workshops.

This position will be responsible for finding and prioritizing relevant grant opportunities and for leading 3-5 grant submissions a quarter (both at the local level and with large funders).
Position #2: Marketing and Business Development
One year experience in growing audiences and fostering relationships with potential partners and funders is required.
This position will be responsible for marketing strategy and partner relations with organizations that are aligned with Data Reframed’s 2025 objectives. They will also support media creation across our website, newsletter, LinkedIn, promotional materials and new educational resources.
Alignment with our mission and a basic understanding of data equity concepts is required.
The term is for one year.
Estimated monthly time commitment is ten hours.
Attendance at our monthly steering committee call is required.
Residence outside of Los Angeles is a plus with preference given to New York City as we expand there, and Atlanta as a second priority.

About Data Reframed
Data Reframed [formerly LA Tech4Good] is a nonprofit organization that teaches holistic equitable and ethical data practices critical for social change. Through public and corporate workshops, presentations at universities and conferences, webinars with professional organizations and more, we provide intros to data equity fundamentals, hands-on practice through case studies, and actionable tools for participants to take away. We’ve worked with the Internet Society, UCLA, CGI, TechSoup, YWCA, and many other great organizations.
We recently changed our name to Data Reframed to reflect our commitment to work with folks in reframing data in ways that support justice, ethics, and community. We are honing our focus on data, and emphasize equity over a generic “tech for good” brand.
