Data equity with the YWCA

Rachel Whaley and Eva Sachar, clearly enjoying themselves at the conference

We had the opportunity to present our Leading Equitable Data Practices workshop at the YWCA’s June biennial Leadership & Capacity Building Institute in Atlanta, a cornerstone event that serves to empower executives, emerging leaders, and professionals across the YWCA network.

Facilitator Eva Sachar remarked: "The audience was great, very active in small group discussions and super energizing.” Rachel Whaley said it was cool to be in a woman-organized space; she also saw common nonprofit data challenges (still using pen and paper), that data equity was a fairly new concept, and curiousity on how to implement within teams.
